is a small, independent publishing company founded in 2025 in Oxford, by writer and broadcaster, Liz Fraser.

We specialise in short works of non-fiction, with a particular focus on memoir, travel, essays on a theme and strong polemics.

We will publish single-author works, anthologies on specific themes and translated works from foreign writers.

Vignette Editions is both unashamedly nostalgic and fiercely forward-thinking, and our books will reflect that.

They are a record of human lives, cultural moments and Ideas That Matter.
A statement. A mindset. An aesthetic. A library.

From social psychology to philosophy, art to history,Vignette Editions is here to publish both individual lived experiences and the shared cultural moments and Times that define us; and which might shape the future.

We will accept original submissions from both published and unpublished writers, with or without representation, and in any language.

Submissions are not currently open.

We are gradually putting together the lists for 2028 and 2029. When we are ready for submissions we will put information about it on our social media, on this website and to all our email subscribers.
